1. General Transport Liability
Interscan Limited provides logistics and freight transport services with reasonable care and professional standards. However, liability for goods transported is limited in accordance with industry standards and applicable UK transport regulations.
2. Packaging Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring goods are properly packaged, secured for transport, and clearly labelled where necessary. The Company shall not be liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging.
3. Declared Value of Goods
Customers must accurately declare the type and value of goods and any special handling requirements. Failure to provide accurate information may result in refusal of service or limitation of liability.
4. Insurance
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, shipments transported by Interscan Limited are not automatically insured. Customers are encouraged to arrange separate cargo insurance if required.
5. Delays
Delivery schedules are estimated and may be affected by traffic conditions, weather, mechanical breakdowns, regulatory checks, and road closures. The Company will not be liable for losses resulting from delivery delays.
6. Restricted Goods
Certain items may not be transported, including illegal goods, hazardous materials, explosives or dangerous chemicals, and restricted items under UK law. The Company reserves the right to refuse any shipment.
7. Damage or Loss Claims
Any claim for damage or loss must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery and include supporting documentation and evidence. Late claims may not be accepted.
8. Limitation of Liability
Where liability is established, compensation may be limited based on the declared value of the shipment or applicable transport regulations.
